You ever see those “About the Author” pages that are written in third person. “Matt Palmer is an accomplished blah-blah-blah…” You ever think, “Is that guy writing about himself??” In this case, he is.
So here’s me: I’m trying to follow Christ and treasure him above all else. It’s not easy. I find my heart coveting anything and everything but Christ, so making Him my absolute treasure is pretty difficult. That’s where the Holy Spirit comes in. He’s working in and through me, and because of that, I can see how Christ is becoming more and more central in my life.
I’m also trying to be a good husband to my wife, Leah, and a good dad to my sons, Lincoln and Jackson, and my daughter, Claire!
I’m a 4th grade school teacher. I currently serve as Pastor of Paradise Baptist Church in Ball, LA and am working towards an MA in Pastoral Ministry, which focuses on expository preaching, at Caskey Divinity School at Louisiana College.
As for the blog, I don’t get to update it nearly as much as I would like! As always, I will post on Facebook and Twitter when I post something new!
